What Is a Peg?

A peg is a type of fastener used to join two or more objects together. It is typically made from metal, wood, plastic, or other materials and can be inserted into pre-drilled holes in the objects being joined. Pegs are commonly used for furniture assembly, construction projects, and many other applications where secure joining of components is required.

Pegs come in various sizes and shapes depending on their intended use. For example, round pegs are often used for furniture assembly while square pegs may be better suited for construction projects due to their increased strength and stability when installed correctly. Additionally, some types of pegs feature grooves along the length which allow them to grip onto surfaces more securely than standard smooth-sided models. Regardless of shape or size however all pegs serve the same purpose: providing a strong connection between two pieces that won’t easily break apart under normal conditions.
