What Is Ouroboros Praos?

Ouroboros Praos is a cryptographic protocol that provides secure communication between two or more parties. It was developed by researchers at the University of California, Berkeley and is based on the Ouroboros consensus algorithm. The protocol uses an asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance (aBFT) mechanism to ensure security and reliability in distributed systems. This means that it can detect malicious actors within a network and prevent them from disrupting operations. Additionally, Ouroboros Praos also offers privacy features such as end-to-end encryption for data transmission over networks.
