What Is Layer 0?
Layer 0 is the physical layer of a network. It consists of all the hardware components that make up a computer system, such as cables, routers, switches and other networking devices. Layer 0 provides the basic infrastructure for data transmission between two or more computers on a network. This includes providing an interface to connect different types of networks together and allowing communication between them.
At Layer 0, data is transmitted in raw form without any encryption or compression applied to it. The main purpose of this layer is to provide reliable connectivity between nodes on a network by establishing connections through various media like copper wires, optical fibers etc., which are used for transmitting signals from one node to another over long distances. Additionally, Layer 0 also helps in managing traffic flow across multiple paths so that packets can be routed efficiently throughout the entire network architecture.
