What Is Input-Output Hong Kong (IOHK)?

Input-Output Hong Kong (IOHK) is a blockchain technology company that was founded in 2015 by Charles Hoskinson and Jeremy Wood. The company specializes in developing secure, decentralized platforms for financial services, digital identity management, and smart contracts. IOHK has developed the Cardano platform which is an open source blockchain protocol designed to enable businesses to securely store data on the blockchain while providing users with access to their own private keys. Additionally, IOHK also provides consulting services related to distributed ledger technologies such as Ethereum and Hyperledger Fabric.

IOHK’s mission is to create a more equitable society through the use of innovative technology solutions that are accessible and affordable for everyone. To achieve this goal, they have created several products including Daedalus Wallet which allows users to manage multiple cryptocurrencies from one place; Ouroboros Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm which enables faster transaction times than traditional proof-of-work algorithms; Plutus programming language which makes it easier for developers to write code for smart contracts; and Atala PRISM identity solution which helps organizations protect user identities while allowing them access only when necessary. In addition, IOHK works closely with governments around the world on projects related to digital currency regulation and compliance standards.
